And in the interest of lovely quotes I give you: "The relations with, uhh — Europe are important relations, and they've, uhh — because, we do share values. And, they're universal values, they're not American values or, you know — European values, they're universal values. And those values — uhh — being universal, ought to be applied everywhere." —George W. Bush, at a press conference with European Union dignitaries, Washington, D.C., June 20, 2005
We have a poster, Royce bought it, that has about a hundred things George W has said over the past few years. I was one of those people that just kind of went along with things politically, assuming that for the most part people were good and trusted my government. I never really watched the news, never educated myself. In the last year, it mainly came to a head with New Orleans last August, I have made a complete turn around about how I feel about Bush. I'm not as violently oppposed to him as some people, but I definately have seen the error of my ways. I think the thing that sold me is that he is just stupid. Those things could not come out of his mouth if he wasn't just stupid. My God, he can't even spell. He makes words up that aren't even in the English language. I'm not even that educated and it offends me. Scares me is what it does. I think we need someone with a little intelligence running our country, our "war". Apparently I'm not alone in feeling like this. Remember that Megadeth song, Symphony of Destruction? I always think of that when I think of Bush. You take a mortal man and put him in control. You know, alot of people dismiss alot of the rock groups on Christian grounds, on "moral" grounds. But alot of them actually have something worth hearing. There is a reason they are angry. If they weren't so close minded, they might actually learn something. This man is running your country. He is determining the future of your children. I think its important that he at least has command of the English language. Much less, political and governing abilities. Enough said. Thank you Karl for telling me where to find what that guy said. I'll check it out. I'll tell you what I think.
